Claude Raymond was born in 1937 in St. Jean, Quebec. This 5'10" right hander first appeared in the majors in 1959 with the Chicago White Sox. From 1961 to 1971, Raymond pitched for Milwaukee, Houston, Atlanta and Montreal, whom he joined in their inaugural year. In fact, Raymond was the first Canadian born player to play for a Canadian major league team. During his 12 years in the majors, Claude compiled a record of 46 wins, 53 losses, with 83 career saves. He appeared in 446 games, striking out 497 batters and had a career ERA of 3.66. He had 23 saves with the 1970 Expos. He was selected for the 1966 All-Star game.
