Walker To Become All-time Leader In Games Played
St. Marys - A significant Canadian moment will occur in Los Angeles,
California on Saturday, as Larry Walker will become the all-time
leader in career Major League games played by a Canadian when the
Dodgers host the Rockies that evening.
Walker, who already tops all Canadians in career homeruns (310),
hits (1,705), RBI (1,032), runs scored (1,060), will move ahead of
Terry Puhl when he takes the field for the 1,532nd time on Saturday.
Jack Graney, Jeff Heath, and George "Moon" Gibson round out
the top five. FYI, Hall-of-Famer Fergie Jenkins leads all Canadians
in wins (284), and games pitched (664).
